Flying the skies!

We are back from Minnesota and Ashlyn did wonderful on her first flying experience.  She slept most of the flight both ways.  On the way up she slept through both takeoff and landing, had one meal during the flight and then took her pacifier to soothe her back to sleep on landing after the captain came on over the speakers and woke her up! :-) On the way home she slept through takeoff, was awake for about an hour just smiling and playing with her rattle, then fell asleep while we landed.  We were in the back of the plane so I think the constant noise from the engine as well as the early morning flights really helped.  We also had the fun experience on the way home of changing her diaper in the plane bathroom.  That was a "little" bumpy!

What a great time we had in Minnesota.  It was so much fun getting to spend the week with grandpa and grandma.  She also got to meet her great grandparents as well as a few other people.  We took many walks, visited people, relaxed and just enjoyed our time up north.  Ashlyn also accomplished another mile stone while we were there.  She laughed out loud for the first time.  It was so much fun to hear.
