Well, Ryan and I said last night that with the history of diabetes in our family, we always anticipated someone would be diagnosed with it, but we never really expected it to be our cat! Yep, unfortunately Tippy Toes has been diagnosed with diabetes and will start getting insulin shots tomorrow. Blessedly the vet said if a pet is to get diabetes, a cat is the easier choice as they usually only require one long acting shot a day and only takes them 2-3 weeks to get regulated. So this is going to be a new adventure for us as we learn how to take care of a diabetic cat! Life is never boring.
