11 months old

Is our little girl really 11 months old?  Where did this year go?  I keep thinking back to this time last year when I was anxiously awaiting her arrival.  She brings so much joy to our lives each and every day and her personality is really starting to come out!  Her vocabulary is slowing increasing every day - she now says dog, daddy, milk, bear, quack quack (for duck), book and kitty.  I'm sure there are a few more but I cannot think of them right now.  She is very good at repeating words you say too but has not been able to associate them yet with the object.

Ashlyn had her first Thanksgiving last week and she had a great time.  We spent it with Ryan's parents in New Mexico and she loved that.  She had turkey, green beans, rolls, and even a little pumpkin pie.  We also took a boat ride down the Pecos river to see the Christmas lights.  It was a wonderful time and we made many great memories!  Celebrating the holidays with a child and truly seeing it through their eyes really does bring the meaning of the holiday to heart.  God bless you all!

Ashlyn loved playing with Grandpa and Grandma's blinds

Look at the turkey!

This was Ashlyn's favorite light display.  It didn't surprise as since dog was her first word!

She was ready to go again!  And Tippy Toes was saying you better take me along this time!
